Now that it has been a month of GST, the nation is warming up to the new tax regime in their own little ways. We at numberz are also working hard to keep businesses compliant – by constantly working on ground breaking solutions and providing with state-of-art product experience.

Everything seems sunshine and roses till our customers challenge us with their honest feedbacks – and when that happens, there is no turning back. Our endeavor to never let you face the rainy day has helped us to push ourselves to deliver the very best.

While this was a busy month for the nation, our product team was on their toes for the most part of it! We are excited to announce our new August update – a little and a lot of everything!

Here’s some of the new stuff that you can use:

Revised GST Invoicing – Best thing since sliced bread

  • GST invoicing finds a great uplift, with the freedom to choose options you deem-fit! Feel like disabling the visibility of payments in your invoice? We got it covered. Want to have due date and invoice value optional in output PDF? Feel free to play around with upgrade.
  • Your GST invoicing can now travel overseas. Add international addresses in invoices to get paid faster than ever.
  • Since the supplier is required to issue a tax invoice on the delivery of goods, we have introduced the option to print Delivery Challan option in invoices. Do note that it can only be printed after the invoice has been created.
  • Payment details & Terms and Conditions can now be edited in Invoice, Credit Note, Debit Note & Advance Form.
  • Importing quick bills or adding multiple bills in GST format is now easier and faster! You can even start handling cess charges in GST Invoicing.

Nifty Improvements – A notch above the rest

Product team at numberz are wizards’ sans the magic stick – and keeping design aesthetics a notch above the rest is their favorite trick up the sleeve.

  • You can now change due date font & invoice text to black for old and classic templates respectively.
  • We have improved GST related fields for data download – never miss a crucial detail ever again!
  • Collecting GSTINs of your vendors and customers is now quick and hassle-free. You don’t have to switch windows to keep a track – you can do it within the product itself.

We at numberz are just as excited as you are for coming GST days. We have worked hard on our product to keep your business GST compliant, and now is the time to reap what we sow. Unveiling the many features of our product – Made in India, with love!

GST Sales/Invoicing Flow – Prepare your audiences!

  • With GST, we have nicely separated Payment Terms & Terms & Conditions section, so the payment details are clear to your customers besides T&C.
  • As per GST rules, you need to maintain unique invoices for the financial year. You can find this feature in our migration wizard.
  • Customer, Item & Tax models are enhanced to include GST related fields such as customer GSTIN, item HSN and GST tax rates.
  • Under customer panel master, update Customer GSTIN (if you have GST registered business) along with the Place of Supply. If you are a pure services business, you can select billing address as shipping address for us to pick the Place of Supply.
  • Now included is smart HSN lookup service – just start typing your product category and we will do the rest. That’s not all, we will also pre-select the corresponding GST tax rate for you.
  • We have provided multiple templates for invoicing. If you are the supplier of Goods or just Goods and Services, choose the default template. If you are a pure service business, choose the service template.
  • Full support for GST advances & receipts – you can also link these advances to the corresponding invoices to save on taxes already paid. You can also print your invoices to have 3 copies (or 2 for service providers).
  • We have also added debit and credit note. Recurring invoices are updated to be GST compliance and you can even cancel invoices at any given time.

GST Home!

  • GST deadline is almost here and numberz is chasing it all the way! We are sweating and slaving to make sure that you are able to transition to GST smoothly so that you continue to enjoy the awesome numberz experience.
  • We have made it more real for you – you can get a sneak peek of the shape of things to come. Just head to ‘Tax Filing’ tab on the panel. You would get a glimpse of GSTR1 and other filings.  You can also follow the space to keep yourself updated with knowledge, processes and our offerings.

  • Based on your feedback, we have re-imagined the cash flow graph to be more straight forward in understanding where your cash flow is trending relative to the invoices raised and expenses incurred. Other nifty improvements!

  • You can now create invoices with or without tax options. Choose the applicable tax option and decide if you want to include or exclude it from the final published invoice.
  • No need to keep clicking on pages while looking for bank data or bills. You can scroll down infinitely and see all of your data on one single page.
  • The date you signed up on numberz is a landmark date for your business! You can see the date in the settings tab!

Get an overview, before you delve deeper – and take quick decisions. The dashboard also comes with many quick action links and many other interesting callouts. So head to your new ‘home’!

2. Still Smarter Invoicing: The place that helps you get business just got even smarter!

  • Automatic Mails! When you set up recurring invoices, you can set them up to be sent automatically too!  So you don’t have to worry about any delays at all! 
  • Receipts, at your service! The moment you get paid by your clients, send the receipts too – straight from numberz. The expense entries, of course, get updated too!
  • Reconciliation on Steroids! You raise many invoices and receive a single payment – and this happens many times. You don’t have to spend time in figuring out which invoices got paid. numberz all powerful reconciliation engine can do it for you in a jiffy! It surely pays to add your bank account!
  • Lists made easy! Customer and Item lists became more handy. Arranged in alphabetical order – just as you told us to do! 

     3. More Power to the People: Collaborating on numberz is not just easy, but secure too.  Here’s the new stuff on the multi-user front:

  • Role-based access:  You decide who does what with his/her numberz login! Assign different view or edit rights.  
  • Switch companies with ease:  No we are not talking jumping ship! Users who manage multiple companies – as owners or service providers – can switch companies while continuing to be logged in. No more hassles! 

     4. Cool Notifications: Some new and important notifications got added to the list! Hope you are making it a habit to check the notifications tab on numberz! Do check it out. Here’s what just got added:

  • Expense due reminders – so that you never miss a deadline! 
  • Remember the recurring invoice you created. You will be notified every time it’s created and ready to be sent out.

Those are some really cool ones we have added right at the beginning of the year! And we promise that with your trust, we will continue to pour in that sweat and toil (and a lot of coffee) into that numberz engine that keeps churning good stuff!

  • Managing Bills is quicker than ever. Enter quick bills without clicking anywhere else – fast and painless! You can also add quick bills in bulk mode too – in a jiffy. And the Automagic bank connect works well still!
  • The all critical Vendor bills (with more information) got a new look – same as that of invoices.
  • No more searching for bills on the next page. You can easily view all the bills in one page with infinite scrolling!
  • Recurring expenses need not bother you recurringly. Just set them up on numberz and they are created automatically!

 

Simplified Banking :

 

Banking on numberz becomes more rewarding – and secure!

 

  • Keeping your transactions secure – and yet convenient – will always be a priority for us. We  have now added support for multi factor authenticated banks (e.g. kotak mahindra). You can now connect to more diverse list of banks without having to worry about security. You can continue to easily reconcile your payments and expenses.
  • Infinite scrolling meets banking! You can see upto last 500 transactions without even going to the new page!

Invoicing gets a shot in the arm!

 

  • Now users can add miscellaneous charges such as transportation charges, installation charges etc.
  • To ensure that the invoicing continues to be accurate, users will also get a warning message for duplicate invoice numbers.
  • Payment terms got more flexible. Choose between additional payments terms of 7,15 and 45 in addition to the ones available.
  • And if you are recommending numberz to your fellow business folks, we made the first time experience on numberz super nifty! So go ahead – get some brownie points this new year!

What you need to know about numberz this September 2016

Monsoons are just not abating are they? So while the rain gods have been busy flooding the cities, our tech Kabaali’s have been busy in our kitchen creating our own ‘deluge’ – that of new features and functionalities and improvements. So that you can make hay even if the sun doesn’t shine! 

So here’s what’s cooking in the latest monsoon serving of nu,mb,erz :

New Features
…to make your life a whole lot easier!

Expense Management:
Runaway expenses – the bane of a small business! Not get a leg up on taking care of your expenses. You can record your expenses comprehensively without missing any details. But thats not all – you can choose either of 2 options. expense-managementThe Detailed Bill option can help you enter, monitor and pay the larger expenses like the vendor payments.

 

You can also choose the  Quick Bill  option to enter fewer details for more day-to-day  or recurring expense items. In both the cases, you can also upload the scanned bills themselves! So that you have all your payables in one place! Cool in’nit?!

Our smart expense management module continues to have the other features like tracking the entries via traffic lighting, searching, sorting. At any point in time, you can also avail of a credit line or a working capital loan too.

Business Reporting (on Steroids!) :
All the essential numbers that you need to get a snapshot of your business are now on numberz. When you need it, the way you need it. You will be able to see the reports such as Cashflow, Invoice Outstanding, Sales by Customers, Total Expenses etc – at the click of a button. These reports try to mimic the way you want the data to be seen. Eg adding the type or sub-type in your expense report will tell you where exactly are you spending your monies – in the project or just the overheads.

Tally Enhancements :
The numberz plugin for Chrome (technicalese for the stuff that makes numberz talk to tally!) gets a big boost. You will now be able to retrieve Tally masters such as Customers (Debtors), (Stock) Items and post numberz invoices at both summary & detailed level.You can also download the latest version in the Chrome Web Store. Click on Apps -> Search for Tally to find Tally Sync -> Click Add to Chrome, that’s it.

Other important stuff : aka constant improvements!

Stuff that we continue to enhance, getting it closer to your business!

  • While creating invoices, you can now upload all your customers in one shot (from an existing  excel based list) to make invoicing entries much faster.
  • Upload your logo or any other pic to your numberz home screen – to give that small personal touch!
  • The default invoicing templates can now get your business logo via a quick upload. But you can continue to customise the template to look like your as before, should you not prefer the default ones.
  • While applying for a credit line now, you can directly upload the relevant documents (PAN, proofs etc). 
  • While using numberz to send estimates or invoices or followup mails to your clients, you can now customise the content of the email – by going to the settings tab. You can also CC yourself on the mail.

Bug Fixes

While we were doing all that, we also strengthened the platform! Just so that the digital bugs don’t bug you (you will still have to make do with the natural ones though!)
